- For Your Profile: Your display name and, if you choose, your country.
- For Your Gameplay: Your current rating, match history (PGN) and results.
- For Our Peace of Mind: Report and block records (because there's no room for bullying at our table).
🎙️ Camera and Audio: Never Recorded
Our most important rule: your laughter stays strictly between you and your opponent. Your video and audio chats are streamed directly, end to end (P2P). We don't watch them, we don't listen to them, and we never store them on our servers.
Why Do We Use Your Data?
- To match you with evenly matched opponents and keep the game fair.
- To keep Rovian a safe space for everyone (moderation).
- To be able to reach out to you about your account when needed.
No Secret Deals Behind Closed Doors
We don't sell your data. We only share what's strictly necessary with the trusted technical providers that keep our infrastructure (such as the database and email delivery) running smoothly.
You're Fully in Control
- Retention and Goodbyes: We keep your data only for as long as you stay at Rovian. If you decide to delete your account, the data belonging to you is permanently erased from the system within a reasonable period.
- Your Rights: Under KVKK/GDPR you always have the right to access, correct and delete your data. Just send us a message.
Only the Cookies We Need
We don't use the sneaky cookies (third-party/marketing) that follow you around the internet with ads. We only use the essential system cookies that keep your session open and keep you at the table.
