Support d5 with c6. The Caro-Kann secret: your light-squared bishop gets out before you play e6.

If White pushes the pawn to e5 (Advance Variation)
White gains space with e5. Bring your bishop to f5, play e6, then attack the base of the pawn chain, d4, with c5.
